Together provides support for linkages and joint curriculum approaches between schools coming from differing cultural backgrounds.
The staff and pupils of Ballycastle High and the Cross and Passion college in the town of Ballycastle, Co Antrim, are developing strong links between their sixth form pupils and teaching staff, including joint history lessons on the sites of both schools.
To assist this, young volunteers from the Spirit of Enniskillen - a number of them from Ballycastle - are facilitating dialogue between the pupils of both schools looking at feelings and ideas to progress this development. The pupils are then encouraged to feed-back recommendations to a joint-schools management committee.
Sixth form pupils from both schools are also encouraged to put themselves forward to develop personal dialogue and leadership skills on the Explore and Voice programmes. Following this they then return to enable the learning and communication between the two schools.
